According to the Consular Commission dated June 18, 2020, H.M. the King of Thailand appointed Régis BERGONZI as Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Thailand in Monaco, decision having received exequatur in the Principality according to Sovereign Order n° 8.271 dated October 1, 2020.

This appointment in the Principality of Monaco illustrates the will of the Kingdom of Thailand to accompany its nationals throughout the world, to protect their interests and to promote their culture. 

The Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Thailand in Monaco guides and assists Thai nationals in their requests and interactions with Monegasque institutions.

Régis BERGONZI is a Lawyer at the Court of Appeal of Monaco and joined the Bar on January 5, 2005.

In 2011/2012, he served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Monaco Bar Association.

In 2019 and 2020, he has been successively elected as the President of teh Monaco Bar Association.

He is the Representative of the International Association of Lawyers (www.uianet.org) to the Council of Europe.

He represents the Principality of Monaco at the CPT at the Council of Europe (https://www.coe.int/en/web/cpt/home)

He is fluent in Italian and English and speaks Portuguese (Brazilian).

He now has the honour and privilege of representing the consular system to the Thai community in the Principality of Monaco.
